It probably was used by an extra in that film. That Angels tag is genuine. I remember delivering camera gear to the set at Pinewood studios and the flight gear was a real mish mash.
The cockpit set was interesting. Other B-17s visible out of the windows were scale models with rotating props. The B-17s in the far distance were airfix kits !
