A Rough Wear with rebuilt Bronco-style pockets? The pocket leather looks different from that of the flaps and jacket body. (It's not a Bronco with a RW label -- it has a collar stand. It's not a Sheeplined for the same reason. Also, the epaulets aren't centered over the shoulder seam.)

So a beat-to-hell 1401-P with redone pockets, I guess?

The jacket is made from goatskin so it is not a 1401-P. It looks like a goatskin Bronco to me with the wrong label sewn in.

second rw [goatskin] contract. pockets? odd, very odd. looks to be a depot refit with bronco pockets.....maybe. i have seen a few originals with later contract labels in them, and simon once had an aero with two contract labels sewn one over the other, which dated the jacket a year earlier then the top label.

I have looked at the pics again and yes it does have a collar stand, so it's certainly not a Bronco. The epaulets look like RW. So it could be a second contract goatskin RW with Bronco style pockets added in a USAAF depot. Very odd indeed.
