Surprisingly, we rarely see the snapped version of the A-1 in period photos:


Wish that I could get away with this look with the jodhs/boots:


but had to settle for the A-1 and 30s sweater/trousers for work yesterday.

Pockets are unusually high - just to keep MM happy, but still prefer them on the hem line.

Is that second photo a British pilot? or AVG? I see the Chinese cap badge but don't recognize the other uniform components.

The jacket in the second and third pics is really a nice flying jacket. Perfect..nothing excess about it..and it fits right.
