I didn't see a dedicated thread to family photos during the wars, just some random ones, so I thought I would start a single thread if no one objects.
My grandfather was in the US Army Air Corps, later Army Air Forces, from 1944-1945. He was stationed in Michigan, North Carolina, Mississippi, and ultimately was on Iwo Jima after we had taken it. He was assigned to the 555th Air Service Group and had various jobs. Not a lot of information about the 555th at all. I don't know a ton because he didn't talk about it much. I have a short 8 page story he wrote about it, and I have various ribbons and things. I also have photos he took, including ones on Iwo Jima. He and three of his brothers all served, one of them in the Navy.
