Can you stop an active listing if you have bids on the item??Do you get in trouble??Do you still get charged??

Yes, you need to cancel the bids first, then end the listing ... you won't be charged, and you'll only get in trouble with us.

make sure you cancel the bids first as deeb said.
i placed the opening bid on an item and the seller ended the listing without cancelling my bid, ebay sent me an automated email that i won! i wasn't gonna give the guy a hard time but you don't want someone leaving you negative feedback etc.
you can try and see if you can get your listing fee credited to your account.
