ELC B-6

That's astounding-- I could not get that auction to pop on either US/World or UK eBay with a search for "B-6 jacket," titles and descriptions. Bad programming, there. Thanks for the tip!

My saved Eastman Jacket search US/auction/worldwide has it. Maybe you were just searching too soon ... indexing takes muh longer for the international listings.

I can't get on with the finish on the leather - too much!
Have you seen a Broken Finish up close ?

I've only seen the B-3 in American Classics John - I thought it was OK, but 'dry' looking. I'm guessing you're saying that photos
don't do the finish justice? Is this finish from intentionally selected hides or is it the result of a "process"?
For me, it doesn't particularly tie in either with wartime photos, or originals I've seen or owned. All down to personal preference as usual.

I think the B-3's at AC were the 50 Cal jackets, though there were some BF B-6 on a rack nearby. If it's too matt for you it would be easy to have it lacquered by an expert. Let me know if you want contact details.

You're right, it was the .50 Cal I saw. They didn't have a great deal there though, waiting on stock perhaps. I'm not tempted to go for an ELC B-3, only because I have Mikey's Aero version which I'm more than pleased with - a great jacket IMO. Be interesting to see a side by side comparison though...................
