There have been a couple of A1's on ebay lately, they seem to go away at fairly low prices, and don't attract a lot of attention.

Was it Wallis Simpson who said 'you can never have too many A-1s'? I forget...

Needs a bit wear though to bring the grain out - poor photos but from what I can see the grain looks smooth and featureless.

You're right Rutger, a small part of the appeal of the A-1 for me is the ubiquity of the A-2 and G-1 (and family). Lots of people yet to catch on to it...
