Yeah, my mouse finger is itching really badly over this one, but I just can't be bothered with the "no international bidders" attitude - I suppose I could beg and plead but honestly, it's just a business transaction.

I agree, its a somewhat isolationist attitude. You could ask him why. Often its to do with international postage issues. You could get him to send it to someone in the USA?

If you read the blurb, he just doesn't like international bidders. Which is his prerogative. But I don't want to give him my filthy foreign money either.

Q: will he ship to a usa address? if so, one of us in the us can accept delivery, and forward to .......i would guess that the usa shipping would be no more then $20.

Thanks for the kind offers!

Two things I'm leery about: the seller's attutude, and the cut of the jacket. It's only 23.75" long including knits, which sounds a bit off. Might be OK, might not. Everything else looks very tempting, though. In the pics the leather looks almost chestnut.

Plus, I'm going to try my luck with one of Mowgli's offerings.

Cheers,

Pip

might be OK but how can one tell the color with the weak photos? From them, the jacket looks like its way too reddish ....................... :(

The reason I believe most exclude international bidding is because of non paying bidders. Granted, most of these non payers are from third world countries. Myself, I've had three non payers and all three were from India, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka (my latest). Easy enough, I'll just exclude some of these countries and let the rest have a chance.

Never had a problem with Europe, Aus and NZ. ;)

RM jackets need the sleeve length too, as they are squared up in the shoulders. This one was obviously made as a special order, yet the seller complains ...

It's marked a 48 but I understand that RM is very loose on the accuracy of the size tags...I have heard they only have one size tag but that's neither here nor there.

I'd be keeping my money. ;)

I will not respond to requests to open it to international bidders; every time I do it the person ends up not bidding anyway.

Yet has only 17 f/b's, and already 1 neg. But note his previous sale, a distressed Good Wear, which suggests he's a member here.

I was thinking seriously about that one to direct to one of the forums emerging talents
for a bit of Jacket Art..

Did anyone buy it??

"Paypal only, pay within 1 day of winning or it goes to the next highest bidder."

Is such a practice allowed?

I don't think the seller can even file non-paying bidder for at least 4 day after end of auction. However he could send a second chance offer right away. But then the winning bidder could rightly file a complaint against the seller for refusing to sell to him.

As it has a lowish BIN now I guess he would have sold in now if he allowed international bidding.

He does not appear to be a cooperative seller either so maybe this also helps to explain the lack of a sale.

RUDE,ARROGANT,INSULTING communicator.Thinks he is above all questioning.AVOID!!!

Imagining ... but it could be MarkP40, now that his old eBay ID, poompoom13 is NARU. ;)
