I am sure many of use use a mobile app for eBay. Today after an automatic update I discovered that by default your eBay account is linked to your PayPal account. I purchased an item and had paid before realising that I had not been requested to log into PP. This worried my so I contacted PP and ebay who were very helpful but could only suggest that I delete the app and reinstalled it to fix the issue. I Googled the problem and found out that at checkout there is an option to disable this function,which I have now done.
Imagine, if you lost your phone ?

Just unlinked mine a few days ago, but I actually had to authorize it in the first place. I did so not realizing what it meant. Seems a little irresponsible of them to do this by default.

The eBay team I spoke to also thought it was a bad idea

I have unlinked the Paypal easy payment button. You really can't risk having it that easy.
