Ebay bad buyer black list / maybe a little justice finally

Very bad experience with a very new buyer. I was goofing around looking for someone to care and found this in a google search. A small donation and a chance to vent was well worth it. Maybe it'll do some good maybe not. All I know is that today Ebay and Paypal pissed me off to no end. PP refunded this guy entirely and Ebay refuses to remove the lies he left in a negative feedback. I completed my end of this transaction promptly and flawlessly, end of my story. Here's the site and my comments to them.

http://www.ebayblacklist.co/

This buyer ignored several communications by myself and an Ebay agent informing him that his package arrived and was awaiting pick up at his Post Office. When the item was returned to me two weeks later by default he filed a Paypal item not received dispute within hours arriving at my door step. For him to ignore messages by an Ebay agent, his Post Office, and myself for two weeks but promptly file a dispute within hours of tracking the item to my door step is blatantly obvious, His actions were carefully planned and intentional. He has succeeded in abusing the program and using it to his advantage. Moreover, the negative feedback Ebay has allowed him to leave is a blatant lie and has made a serious impact on my faith in this system. The negative feedback is a direct retaliation after I would not entertain the multiple and ever changing BS stories as to why he refused the package. I called him out on every lie he told. In the end I am at a loss for Paypal and Ebay fees as well as the shipping cost to send this package around the world, roughly 120.00 and a big red lie in my otherwise perfect feedback for all to see. My first in thousands of transactions and over a decade by a scam artist with 22 transactions. My guess is that the import fees were too much and I got to pay the price.

I feel your pain....been there myself couple of times....last time with a crooked flake from Taiwan.

One day, something will come along for collectables that is better than eBay. When that finally happens, they won't know what hit them.

Thanks for the heads up on the black list.

Be careful fwiw I checked out a handful of those on the list to find 2 no longer registered and 3 had all +ve scores as expected but then when I 'drilled down' also had only seemed to have great recent positive comments. Further I couldn't see a way of reporting 'a bad eBayer' (maybe a donation via PayPal is required?) and wasn't reassured as to how such reports would be vetted. I realise that 5 isn't statistically significant but it does give food for thought and discussion.

Yeah, I saw what you're talking about, I gave them 5 bucks with my story and felt a little better so it was worth it anyway. Maybe it won't put a dent in anything but I'll at least tell the guy I'm putting him on these lists. I have to research the rules first, but I'm also thinking of how to put a small paragraph explaining what happened with an invitation for the details, Don't know maybe I'll get over it as I was able to add a reply. That was Ebay's answer to it all, that I could leave a reply. Basically enough room for him to say you did this and me to say no I didn't

I know it doesn't happen all the time and there's good people out there, but twice in the last quarter Paypal has frozen my account, the time previous to this was because of a postal delay. Bottom line? if it was lost I would pay the price on that as well paying all fees, postage, but losing the item as well. And the damn thing was registered but in Spain they'll leave it on the door step anyway, I paid for the receipt signature but they left the package behind a plant to keep it safe instead, F****N KNUCKLEHEADS. And the buyer actually told me we were lucky it was still there in his neighborhood. International trading is ridiculous and I will probably stop. Just too risky with anyone and everyone who pops in on your auction. Ebay and PP are promoting the buyer protection thing like crazy as well.

I really have no choice but to use them for now, but I am certainly motivated to find some loop holes in their system even more than I use already. There's a way to put a link in for a home page and I'll be researching that this week.

Spain is one place I will not post to. I have heard tons of horror stories and had a close call with losing a item there myself a few years back.

I meant to say this was going in my Ebay descriptions.

Some time back after having an issue I did put a small note within all Ebay descriptions for a while requiring members with less than 50 transactions to kindly ask before bidding. This recent negative has 23 transactions. And I recently got a neutral from a woman that bought 3.5 lbs. of antique buttons from me, in the endless pile were a few grams of cool looking tiny green stones, a few thimbles. and some other tiny doodads. I left everything in the box and used all 12 photos to mix and take a picture 12 times. The dingdong leaves me a neutral saying there were rocks in with the buttons. This woman had 11 feedback.

Same thing here. 15 years of 100% and no issues. Had a rare book up, said I was not accepting overseas bids/buyers. I don't sell often so my filters did not work correctly and a guy in SPAIN bought it (emphasis due to above posts).
I told him I was not going to sell to him and would not accept his payment.
My auction clearly stated that I don't sell overseas - CONUS ONLY.

Can't get rid odor the one negative feedback, and worse, I have to wait for on average, about two weeks to get my money via paypal when I sell now.

I wish to god I didn't have to use them. Craigslist and Etsy pose their own challenges, but I truly hate every time I list something.
Sold an old iPod for parts a few weeks back for $10. With shipping, I lost money. I had this guy on the third day open a case asking where his item was! A Russian dude, completely rude idiot form the midwest somewhere.
It gets worse every day...

Yep you're not necessarily safe selling anywhere abroad given the postage costs. I sold a solid brass (not plated), Fountain pen to a US pen dealer who started to complain to me about plating issues no doubt counting on my not wanting to lose a dispute. I gave a partial refund rather than lose all profit. Disgusting behaviour from someone who should have known better. I may buy one of their pens at some future point and 'do unto others' - not really I'm too nice a person.

I'll sell to UK, DE, FR, and AU. Aside from those places, I just do CONUS. And most of that is due to the addressing/overseas shipping. To much work whereas I can use a Priority flat rate box/envelope here and it's simple.

Regardless, eBay and Paypal are quickly becoming unusable for me...

WHOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!

After about an hour the other day trying to get that negative removed, with an agent specifically purposed for feedback, she assured me there was no way to remove it based on "I have certain criteria that I have to follow" Yada yadda yadda.

Well, early this morning I woke again with that bug up my azz and called once again, but this time to recover my final value fees on this item. Being as early as it was about 5AM, she quickly refunded my request and seemed to be interested in what happened. We chatted a while as I restated several times how disappointed I was as an Ebay veteran of ten plus years at 100% positive that an 19 feedback rookie could pull such BS and then tarnish my rep with a blatant lie in feedback. She said "I'll see what I can do" and we hung up. Just returned from lunch to find the negative gonzo.
