A bit odd the the seller has owned 8 Eastman jackets and isn't familiar with their A2 contracts/leather useage.
Sounds like he is a fellow addict.
"An informed reader said this was not a "warhorse" hide, but does have creases and wrinkles that the previous 8 Eastmans that I owned did not have they were smooth hides, so you be the judge as I said before I don't know for sure what it is,but is horse."
to the description at the bottom of the auction.
Well...if it has creases and wrinkles, that settles it.
For my own education.....the seller notes that he is "sure it is horse".
It sounds like this is not the original buyer...and I have some concerns about his "expertise" given the confusion as to whether this is Eastman's "Warhorse" leather or not.
Eastman also offers the "Havana" finish in steerhide.
How can he tell this isn't steerhide?
