EASTMAN B-1 SIZE 7 1/4 ON THE BAY

So that's what a real Eastman B-1 looks like aside from their website's rather skimpy selection of images shows. Too small, or I'd go for it. Some recent reading here of old posts indicates that some of us think a) the B-1 is an ugly cap, b) the Eastman B-1 is an uncomfortable cap, and c) the A-3 looks 'cooler'. I disagree with "a". can't really say about "b". but like we used to say over at The Lounge, "...if the leather sweatband is leaving a crease in your forehead, you might have a hat that is just too small for you.". As far as "c' goes, well, they are apples and oranges, aren't they? I like them both.

I have one of those caps.. MASH makes them.. or only sells them.. Either way you can get 'em there too. I don't know where they find the fabric for these things, but I bought it and it matched up in fabric weight weave and color with a wartime-issued a4 Flightsuit I have. Amazing.

10oz gabardine isn't the most common. It's out there in bulk but the heavier weight is much easier to find.

It's my brothers cap, I will notify him immediately. He did purchase it on the bay two years ago as being an Eastman product.

Sorry, chitchat, i should have thought about more reasons why a seller could misidentify something. Forgive my judgemental approach. I was burned by another seller who listed a B-1 as an Eastman, and it wasn't, and it's just too easy to presume the worst, when I shouldn't. My bad.

No worries, no harm no foul. I would like to see an Eastman. This Mash is nicely done, down to the last stitch.

You from Michigan. I was born in Detroit, lived in Warren and Gross Point. Would leave California in a heartbeat if I could afford Traverse City.

Traverse City is my hometown! Living in Fenton, 10 miles south of Flint. Lived in CA for two years. Didn't fit in very well. I can understand why you'd want to move to TC. Nice place, nice area.
