This is my recently acquired Early Simón Green two panel. The Jacket is beautiful having recently acquired new Aviation Leather zip. I considered other Zippers but decided to go for an original in keeping with the Jacket. The Jacket has years left in it as there is absolutely no evidence of the hide drying out. I have recently treated the shell with Pecards.This is a huge size size

I am no expert, but I believe the early Aviation Leathercraft reproduction jackets are authentic looking than the current ones.

Great looking collection!!
If I can offer a suggestion, you might want to take your jackets off of hangers and find another way to display them. Over time hangers are very tough on these jackets .

Or use padded hangers, I cover my hangers with pipe insulation.

If the tape gets wet, does it go sticky like sellotape?

No not at all. Never had an issue with wet tape. You can also use the good old Stand-by Duck tape . Not sure what name it’s known by on your side of the pond. Lastly there is Gorilla tape made by the Gorilla Glue people. So there’s a number of options.
