According to Aota's Full Gear, that 1943 Werber contract is the only D-1 contract that listed sizes small, medium, large as A,B,C. Looks like you have a rare bird there! Does it fit as a large?
The jacket was offered to @Shawn Ali , and he asked me about my opinion.
We agreed that an original D-1 would be a big step for his patterns, especially as his sleeve construction has room for improvement. The jacket itself is in "OK condition", not very good... a couple of patched-up holes, that look like glued not stitched. So the psychological hurdle to de-construct the jacket is probably not very high.
The seller describes the size of the jacket to be in the area of "44 - 48", which would probably relate to the "C".
