Crowns they may be, the highly coveted chevrons they be not.

They are not Crown Chevrons and are the non separating variety too!

The same seller has a batch of 30s Crowns. 21," closed-bottom, #6 or 7 (probably the 6.5mm size briefly popular at the time).

Of course the trick is getting the open-bottom type with the metal anchor strips - hard to find and impossible to handmake unless you own a machine shop.

In an exhaustive search, I was finally able to turn up this photo of the ultra rare B-3 pullover.

I hear this will be available in a repro once J.C. gets caught up and I'm sure RW has done it in purple at least once.
