few days ago i bought bill kelao A-2 rough wear 27752. this zipper is on it. do you need pictures of the jacket? It might help if we could see what it is fitted in
can you tell me what number 20 mean? No, that's no help but thanks anyway
Few pictures of the jacket. But it would be cool to se pics of the jacket anyway Silvio.
usually, this model comes with talon zipper, spoke with seller and he said this is custom made jacket and zipper is original from 1940 s. i am not familiar with zippers, so that is the reason why i made a post.nice. Great looking jacket. I always liked the conmar zipper over the Talon for some reason.
I know that, but i was wandering if anyone knows something about this zipper.Original RW 27752s had M-41 Talon zippers.

Thanks for your informations. I am satisfied with this zipper. I know it is not usual on this jacket, but it works fine and looks good. From what I understand, talon was acquired after the war by a Japanese company. There’s a good video about Talon on YouTube if you’re interested. Conmar zippers are still rare but more accessible and work just as good as Talon if not better. My Anj4 from Lost Worlds was advertised with a talon but I received a Conmar instead. I’m really really happy with it. Never grinds gears and looks so nice

Thanks again. I am new in world of repro jackets, so any information is very useful for me. I have probably the best collection of Avirex and Cockpit jackets in Croatia, and now is time to take next step. It’s a gem of a zipper. Better than Talon in my opinion

Thanks for your information. That Comar zip is known as Type 597011 and was produced in the 1940’s. I’ve seen it installed in aviator kit bags and USN deck jackets but never in a flying jacket.
