Looks like a 1950's Conmar as used on some of the 50's G-1 jackets. Some were blackened.

few days ago i bought bill kelao A-2 rough wear 27752. this zipper is on it. do you need pictures of the jacket?

usually, this model comes with talon zipper, spoke with seller and he said this is custom made jacket and zipper is original from 1940 s. i am not familiar with zippers, so that is the reason why i made a post.

From what I understand, talon was acquired after the war by a Japanese company. There’s a good video about Talon on YouTube if you’re interested. Conmar zippers are still rare but more accessible and work just as good as Talon if not better. My Anj4 from Lost Worlds was advertised with a talon but I received a Conmar instead. I’m really really happy with it. Never grinds gears and looks so nice

It’s a gem of a zipper. Better than Talon in my opinion

That Comar zip is known as Type 597011 and was produced in the 1940’s. I’ve seen it installed in aviator kit bags and USN deck jackets but never in a flying jacket.
