Funny story.
Ben Macintyre did a 3/4 part documentary called ‘SAS Rogue Hero’s’
Which is a MUST SEE. I contacted hiM through Twitter to say no one had done a Movie/Docudrama about the birth of The Regiment and it would be fantastic if someone who really knew the story could get it made. A year passes and then I hear a rumour that Tom Hardy is to play Paddy Maine.
A few months after that, in me Cab driving by Regents Park I spot Mr Macintyre. The thing that caught my notice first was his Wested Indy Jacket. I wound down the window and told him it was me who suggested the SAS Docudrama, he replied with ‘I owe you a drink...’ shook hands.
I hope it happens...

I recently read Steven Pressfield's "Killing Rommel" which is about the LRDG and the SAS, and it was a very enjoyable read. Recommended.
There was an old LRDG bloke living round the corner from my parents back in NZ, really tough old bugger.
