Thats taking the Mickey. I post jackets to the US from the UK fully insured and a Signed For service for just under £30 so long as the weight comes under 2kg and with an A-2 it should.
He's making a nice little earner whilst having what cheeky Cockneys call a Turkish.

Steve I own a Cirrus A2 which has been in storage for years. It is a heavy A2 and weighs over 2kg so yes shipping to the USA would be more than £30. I will get round to selling it at some stage.

The Cirrus HH is very heavy comparable to Aero fqhh, they call it steerhide so as not to upset the UK's huge number of horse lovers.

Once it hits over 2kg (and these do), then you're getting expensive quotes (shame on you, Parcelforce!) especially if proper insurance is taken out too, so actually it's not far off $100.

and with Royal Mail prices set to massively increase at the end of this month (and doing away with Small Packet rates) it is going to get more expensive to post from here.

So do they realize the effect on small businesses in the UK, that want to ship international?

No, they need to fund the obscene pay-packets of their top brass first and foremost, not just a British thing though as we've all seen these past few years. There are alternative courriers for posting the heavier items overseas but it is always the needed insurance that hikes up the costs.
