On a related subject to Carl, I own a prop off an SE5 biplane that was flown by Carl Spatz in WW1. It is on loan to an air museum in CA. It has a silver plaque attached to it explaining it was off Carl's plane. My Grandfather acquired the prop in the early 30's, before Spatz was so well known.

Do like the "?" on his jacket though....

Great photo of Spaatz wearing his Question Mark flight A-1. I have to dig up the other photo I have of Spaatz wearing that A-1 with the question mark. Wonder what ever happened to that A-1.
