CAGLECO SPORTSWEAR contract 383s-9211A

The £2o 1954 Cagleco 383s-9211A has just arrived, everything is original , the collar does need replacing as its dry and moulting but other than that the jacket is a solid example of this contract. This is the first G-1 jacket I've bought for a few years. No patches ever attached there is the remains of a stencil on the back. Overall a great jacket. Its just had a little pecards.

What a deal at that price for an early G1 .
Will you keep the collar or replace it?
I guess that question depends on whether you intend on wearing it.

I think I will keep it for a while, it's a bit snug on me I am more a 40 these days! I might look at the mouton replacement but first I have to source some dark to match. I was really suprised I pick it up so cheaply only one other bidder, admittedly it was not the best listing I've seen but it was by no means the worst! I suspect this one has not seen much use since the late 50's.

Yes I'm keeping it as is, Its not for wearing, I've sold all my other G-1 to fund other parts of my collection, but I will keep this one. I'm looking out for a good original condition M-422a.
