Hi,

I searched the most I could but I didnt find much information on buco.

I think what I found is a J24 rider from the 50’s but i’d like to have feedback.

Thanks!

Very cool jacket, although may the fleas of a thousand camels infest the armpits of whoever put a nylon zip in it! I know there are guys on here who know a bit about these. I’d love one. Welcome.

depending on the year it was made, it should have either a nickel small tooth talon with either a fan tail or Hershey bar puller, or a small tooth aluminum zipper with a Hershey bar puller.i have seen late '50s early '60s bucos with the later fat aluminum zippers and pullers, but I don't know if they are original to the jackets. I dig these bucos big time, and have a few. watch out for collar cracking, as it is a '50s buco bugaboo.these bucos are not for hefters, as they are quite trim, also, they command pretty high prices because they are bucos, period. rin tanaka claims that the j-24 model is the coolest mc jacket of the 20th century. you can still find his book " motorcycle jackets: a century of leather design" minimal info, but lots pix. there are some mc sites that may have more info. keep in mind though, some of the info is speculation, conjecture, and just plain folk lore. anything under $1300 for a solid clean one is is ball park, especially for a big guy size. I have seen them fetch 2k for primo unfucked with examples.

Thanks a lot!
Could you confirm that mine is really a J24?
