Thanks for your reply sir
So the label on the jacket is nowhere near the current ones that alpha makes today, it's a bit more vintage, also the jacket is a classic fit, and very well made.
The collar has a provision for the wool , but unfortunately it did not come with it.
I am a newbie here, i am a C130j loadmaster and i am a huge fan of the flight/bomber jackets that i use for work aswell as in the everyday style, and i have a decent collection that i will upload the photos of in a later thread for sure.

Weird jacket what we call a "fantasy jacket". Never existed. Nylon didn't exist in AAF times. As far as jackets anyways. Alpha again cashing in.

Yeah, that's an odd one - like some sort of franken-jacket between an L-2 and a CWU-36/P.
It is a b15 , the collar has the buttons for the wool, but never came with it, the collar feel unfamiliar because it is meant to be used with wool unlike the cwu-45p or 36p which is noticeably smaller, i own one already

Ehh sorry… but if you already know and apparently…. and all and and even all better…why asking here?
BTW, introducing yourself would be a very polite , educated and courteous gesture… again, we are all family here…
We opened our doors to you since you knocked and wanted to come in and talk.

Thanks for your reply sir, i did introduce myself and i said i was a newbie, i did not say i knew better, i was just asking and providing the facts for everyone to benefit the members of the forum since i am the one that can feel the jacket and see into the tiny sewing details. Also i am quite familiar to the flight jackets, i own multiple ones, the air force issed ones and the civilian alpha industries website ones, that's all sir and i apologise for any misunderstanding.

I for one am not attacking you. I'm a little disappointed that Alpha would stoop to making complete fantasy stuff. Wearable jacket I'm sure.

Another Alpha knock off .. but not military nor issued
If what you are saying is true, and both of these jackets are knock offs, then china or whoever makes these will own the world in the near future and we are all doomed, I'll provide the photo of the manufacturer tag when i get home if anyone is interested.

Alpha lost all Military contracts with their quite recent CWU-36/P ( maybe 45/P)… learned that from Rutger ( Dankeschön/Merci ).
To me they lost it all with their MA-1 in the late 60s, but Rutger proved me wrong.

Your right in both of your answers to yourself.
… and the so called western world is happy and watches and is still keen buying and asking for more cheap and low cost …

Never seen the like of that B-15 with CWU type collar and label very very similar to the USA made Alpha ‘Vintage’ B-15D. Currently saving one of those jackets in the very unrealistic blue color. Correct navy wool knits from MASH about to replace tired old synthetic ones. Shells pretty good as is lining and collar & a refresh will keep it from the dumpster…
