Any ideas about this vintage Fieldmaster?

I haven't found any on the forum (or the internet) with the brown fleece collar. I got this back in the 80's from my antique dealer father, who thought (incorrectly, since it has the Sears label?) it was military or police.
Were these always horsehide? Any guesses on the year of this type of jacket? It's fingertip length. I'm thinking to put it on eBay and I don't want to give out 'fake news' haha.

Looks like Barnstormer's design. Having corduroy internal is (as far as I spotted) a feature characteristic for 40's jacket.

However the label is from 50's.

Not sure how to size it; it measures 23" sleeve length (from shoulder), 31" from back of collar to hem, 19" from sleeve to sleeve across the back. Let me know if there's something else I can measure to determine size, thanks! I'm new to this, I have an 80s motorcycle jacket I will be selling too, but that has no tags at all... :-(

This looks exactly like it. Same corduroy and brown collar. Does it have a label I can compare?
No it doesn't, otherwise I'd add picture with label. I assume that it is late 40'searly 50's. You can ceck via your browser for Sears, Hercules and many other manufacturers brands from 40/50 with a Barnstormer added, a lot of references. Try even AI picture recognition and plenty of pictures can be spotted. Like for example:

Gladly not my cup of tea, that's why cannot help more ;) personally really don't like jackets/coats in this design. All the best with getting as high price tag as possible!

I see why the guy said 70s, there's a label like this on Google that someone said was 70s... but more that indicate 40s or 50s. I think they stopped the corduroy section in the 50s so I'll guess late 40s. Thanks all!

Any photos of the back of it and close ups of the buttons? How about the back of the collar while lifted up please? Thanks!

I replaced the buttons with some gold police buttons I had, the ones on the cuffs are black plastic. Here's a photo of the back, and the front more in the sunlight... looking online, this seems to be in good condition in comparison, but it's missing its belt.

I stuck it up on eBay for $180 + shipping, I'll see if I can put it on the 'for sale' tab in this forum. Wish me luck, so far a lot of lookers and no buyers...

Hope you kept the original buttons to sell with it because those gold ones you put on will devalue it. This type of coat was first sold in the twenties mainly under the Hercules brand.

Haha I'll look through the button pile, but if there were more than 2 buttons on there when I got it in the 80's, I wouldn't have replaced them all. The originals on the sleeve show they are nothing special (1" black plastic buttons), though I understand the appeal of an intact item.
