This is just typical. You never seem to see labels on AN-J-3 jackets.

Good point!
In fact I never saw an AN-J-3 WITH label, just found it cited in books as an alternative or earlier version of AN-J-3a.
Only "Unlabeled" ones seldom show up on ebay.
