ANJ-3-A Contract Identification

Hi All,

Apologies in advance for the self-serving thread - I didn't want to derail any pre-existing threads, so thought that creating a new one might be the best option.

I recently came across this beauty on ebay. It's a touch too small for me (and even if it wasn't, it's pretty beat up, and don't need another project that I'm never going to finish). With that said, it's my absolute perfect G1: scalloped flaps, substantial collar, shorter than m422a, pocket sizes are exactly what I want, the list goes on...

Might anyone have an inkling what the contract it is? I've been looking at W&G and Monarch original pics online, but the Monarch looks a bit longer and W&G pockets look a bit different. I'd love to find out, so I can possibly get the specs to Shawn to make one for me (or perhaps one of the big boys do a repro?).

Again, I’m sorry I’m of no use here.
Without the tag, it’d be very difficult to identify the jacket’s specific contract or manufacturer. Espec since it’s such a rare specificarion.
Good news is, there are only so many AN-J-3 contracts to choose from.

The yellow US stencil rules out Burjac (they were white or silver). It could also be an AN6552.
My guess, it's an H&L Block AN6552.

I would say Block. They used a yellow stencil just like that. Are the arm vents stitched rather than metal?
