Ancient Eastman B3

Traded an Anj4 for this very early ELC B3 from California. Brass Talon, steerhide facings, super soft Merino skins. Musty but clean.
Size 42

I might not wash it. The patina is very nice and there are risks with 32 year old jackets

The previous owner told me he bought it at a gun show in 1990. Gary was invited and traded several original A2's for some of his stock. This was the only merino B3.

Indeed, always an element of risk. A good airing and a handsome dollop of sunshine perhaps.

Over the years I think patterns have changed so a 42 made 30 years ago might be a size 44 today.

I still have an Eastman B-3 from the 90's. It has a brass zip and does not have the decal; SZ 42.
The shearling is very similar to the one discussed.

If anything, it looks like the contemporary elc b-3s are slightly bigger……that is unless this one has shrunk slightly. One would have to measure this one and a newer one of the same size for a comparison.
