Just had a funny thought. By most of our standards we would consider this jacket a size to big on the guy and the sleeves too long.

Looks like a Jerry Seinfeld A2
It’s a good lesson in the proper fit. For every wartime photo we see of a trim fitting A2 we see another wartime photo of a loose fitting A2.
Conclusion:
Both are the proper wartime fit jackets.

Spot on good sir. And the best thing about that image, is its the Navy version, a better design IMO not that Im biased mind

I've seen the picture before, in a book but no border/number/text on the pic, must be at least 30 years ago, Sweetings maybe?
I wouldn't mind betting Andrew has seen it/knows in which book
This was the pic that made us make our first AN-J-3...........................circa 1986/87???
