This is up on eBay. I am always interested in G-1 jackets and their variations. Note that on the back of the collar the lettering is yellow and has US stenciled, likely in deference to its "AN" status. I don't know if the USAAF used them though. Fortunately for me, it's not my size.

You're right to doubt that the USAAF used them. If I recall correctly, they're called AN because they're part of the same basic series as the AN-J-3/AN-J-3A, which was used by both branches.

Just noticed this jacket is still listed. Still doesn't fit. Still seems expensive.
