That's the modern jacket which uses the name. The question was about the use of the label in older jackets.
I distinctly remember reading something written by Ken Calder years ago that it was used on an Indian made cheaper line in the nineties I think. That arrangement didn't last long because according to him standards were fine as long as they were overseen by the Scotland based staff who set the operation in India up but went down the pan when those people left. So they only manufactured there for a very short time.
Yeah I guess but it's not the Thuder Bay jacket! this the reply I got back from Aero Leather "Yes, this label was used in the 90s as a slightly discounted range, it’s a true Aero".I presume that it’s more that the label says ‘by Republic’ which denotes it as being from a discounted range and not such much Thunder Bay.
The Thunder Bay label at the top of the thread and also in the picture with all the other Aero labels is very similar but has ‘by Aero Leather Cloth.Co.’
Yes you are correct, except this is the Aero's 90's version of the "VESTE DES RALLYE" which I guess they ran out of labelsYou're taking about a label rather than a style of jacket. Currently, Aero Leather Scotland uses the name on a style of jacket.
