Aero new Late war Irvin in the mix

Looks good but still the sheepskin is all wrong, dont fancy wetting it 14 times and then waiting a week of sundays for it to dry out before you can wear it, and still it will look to white.

You can buy a wearable original for the same price as this jacket. The fleece is too pale and fluffy looking IMO. Jon's late War jackets are far superior to this.

I have a feeling that's not Irvin sheepskin-as it's a trainee jacket I reckon they used whatever was kicking around spare-probably B-3 fleece.

There's a lot to be said on the sheepskin - but at least "the trainee" learned how to do seams.

I sure hope this doesn't turn into another Aero bashing thread.

PS-folks gotta train, but yeah, the skins aren't what I see in movies and pictures.

Scott, I think people are just expressing objective views on what is an apprentice piece. I'm sure Ken will not release a late War jacket until he is happy with it. Hopefully no Aero bashing in this thread.

Aside from the issue with the fleece depth and colour, I do like the surface finnish of the leather side. I have one of the current crop of jackets and it has a much shnier finnish which I have not worn off yet.

A hot shower and tumble dry, should fix that. ;) It worked on mine. Even made the sheepskin look more like originals. ;)

Hi Soren, think I will just leave wear and tear to do that for me! :D I remember what a pain it was getting my old ALC Irvin to dry after getting iet wet in my Caterham, it did get the pile to go frizzy in the exposed areas. On a related note, I wore my B-3 out for the 1st time this season escorting my daughter round on Haloween, it got quite chilly and I was glad of it.
