The man at far left in this photo is wearing a patch for the 73rd Bombardment Squadron , it was with the 17th Bombardment Group/12thAAF.

This vintage Sept 1944 Oldsmobile Division Of General Motors magazine ad depicts the "Official Insigne 54th Fighter Squadron U.S. Army Air Forces". Designed at the very scene of battle, this insigne depicts the interception job the men of the 54th are trained to do. Smashing Enemy Bombers before they can drop their bombs.

I have that patch in a beautiful handpainted leather version - got if off a B-10 that was too short for me.

In reference to the last A-2 picture, is that a theater or medal ribbon above the patch. I've never seen ribbons on A-2 jackets before- would like to know if anyone has seen this done before. Thanks
