Hi Folks,
A quick question regarding this jacket - looks like a civilian version, but my question is: based on the label design, what manufacturer produced this jacket?
Looks like an older Sugar Cane …
Same here with the SC label not removed.
Seen often in Japan’s vintage shops… with SC label and or removed SC label. https://search.app/Jk34qTBUqYsHMTpc7
Hey Pilot and THX! Interesting, looks like in fact these SC were inspired by this civilian jacket. But as I see labels on SC are done in a bit different way, also some design difference [no collar snaps on this from my picture].
Certainly looks like vintage goatskin.
50s I would guess by the zipper if it's not a replacement.
The epaulet 'X' looks like the way Aero made their wartime ones.
Aero also used collar stands like this in the early war days.
Not seen an Aero leather goatskin before though
It was probably sold through a catalogue and so it's always hard to pinpoint a maker.
Is there any labels/tags in the pockets/ under the pocket flaps?
OK, based on the label [screen printed] in fact it looks like a 40's civilian made by Aero, just reviewed a similar jackets in gallery and these made by Aero have labels printed in the same way. THX!
