A Jacket From 1937

Here's something I found while Iwas on an AVG forum. This is supposed to be circa 1937 during the Sino Japanese War. I've never seen anything like it but then again, I'm no expert. I just thought it would be an interesting pic to show. It sort of reminds me of an offset A1/ motorcycle jacket. I'm leaving this one to the experts for an ID.

Looks like a German/European M/C jacket type. I think the collar is leather and folded over rather than a knit.
Very cool jacket.

You just have to love those '30s jackets! That's a neat design. Thanks much for posting.

John, it looks a bit like the custom German bike jacket you and Aero cooked up a year or so ago. Am I mis-remembering the cut of that jacket?

There it is. That's pretty durn close to what's on the picture but it doesn't go up so high. I think that would drive me nuts. I'd feel like a turtle that is the original, not John's jacket.
