It existed as a Toys McCoy jacket initially. The BAPE version just adds the stencil and tags on the chest...which as a POTA fan I consider pretty cool (though there should be full stop not a comma after BATTLE!) and did actually contemplate buying one of these off Y!A some time ago.

Well, Bathing Ape (found by Nigo, real name Tomoaki Nagao 長尾 智明) used to be the trend setting brand in Japan some years ago, but then it was acquired by a Hong Kong based fashion firm I.T. Nigo worked for Japanese fashion magazine Popeye and Lighting and had modelled many of the vintage military and denim jackets himself and is a collector. His style is more on the hip-hop fused with a hint of military and denim styles.

If this jacket is from Nigo's time at Bathing Ape, the TM connection is no surprised. It looks far better than one horror Visvim A2 that appeared a few years back (not for the fainted hearts!)
