82nd Airborne Grasshoppers & Flight Jackets

I have a love affair with Piper Cubs, who doesn't... I have read a bit about their (and other very light aircraft) role in WW2... Never knew they were a part of the 82nd Airborne.
Found this interesting.

We had a member here named Ray who flew such aerial observation in Korea and had that patch on his A-2 jacket. He said he flew mostly the T-6 by then. Not sure when he last checked in.
I have a little Cub time but haven’t soloed one yet as you do so from the back seat. I didn’t like that because with a passenger you can’t see the gauges. Then I realized you really don’t need them anyway!
