334th Fighter Squadron grouping

an interesting grouping. spy? could very well have been. those air associates a-2s are interesting in their own right. though not officially a "contract" a-2 , they were made and worn by a fair amount of pre war flyers. there is some speculation that they were sub contractors for either security aviation togs, or hlb in the 1930s. they were made at garden city long island, ny at a factory next to an airfield that was used by republic, grumman, etc..the "cradle of aviation" museum is now located on the site of the old air field.

Interesting indeed although I'm very sure that he never served with the 334th Fighter Squadron or 4th Fighter Group as he is not on any rosters for either and their rosters are pretty complete. It would be interesting to figure out his real story though.
