Just thought I'd start a thread to share British civi jackets.
These would have been worn in the 30s and 40s. A nice mix of French cycliste and American aviator styling.
This is my contribution - a pre war jacket.
Beautifully soft capeskin.
I know British companies sold leather jackets during the war as there was obviously a demand for aviator/bomber jackets. With so many US airmen based in Britain during the war I wonder how many of those private purchase A2s were made in Britan, if any
