Impressive auction. Looks like a memorial!

here lies......back in the early 60s. some of us surfer kids would wear them around our neck on a leather cord. other then thinking it was kinda rebellious, i dont remember what the point was. they were a pita when worn surfing, as the metal cross ends could stab ya while paddling or in a wipe out. these bring back crosses were found easily at army-navy stores. most were stamped on the back in german, and they went for a coupla bucks at most. who knows where they ended up. ditto german helmets.
