Blasphemy you say? I'm opening a 78 year old sealed T-30-S throat mic after being boxed up and unissued since August 22, 1942! This may cause uncontrollable anxiety in those with OCD or ODD :p
***Due to the graphic nature of this post those with weak constitutions for vintage WWII items mint in original factory sealed packaging being desecrated should not read any further... you've been warned :D

May be It's an incredible feeling when you open this artefacts. This is a time capsule!
A few years ago, my friends restored the found WW2 aircraft , when we unscrewed the nipple on one wheel, a little air from 1942 escaped from it ... incredible.
same happened for me when I replaced the oxygen regulator on my A-4 cylinderfrom a AN 6022 demand regulator for an A-8A continuous flow. once I loosened and removed the demand regulator a bit of air hissed out! and I thought wow! thats WWII air! lol!
