So, my son picked this up. Got it in Canada.
It's a 1942 imperial Japanese navy landing forces tunic. NCO.
I don't know anything about it, but apparently people are going nuts and offering him crazy money for it.
Note the blood and the hole. I am not saying it's a bullet hole, but it looks like...

It's amazing, and it fits his girlfriend. I say that as she is the tiniest young lady you've ever seen. Puts "size" into perspective.
