15,000 Dollar Fan

http://www.ebay.com/itm/150827932379?ss ... 1952.l2649 I know this not a jacket, but the cooolest fan ever. The light bulb acts as a resistor to vary the fan speed. I also noted that the terminal connections are attached via wing nuts. An awesome restoration.

A thing of beauty, from an age when electricity was the latest wonder, and safety wasn't a consideration in anything.

I'm into 1950s-1970s valve (tube) radios - when radios glowed softly in the dark, able to gently heat a cool room, and have a mellow sound completely absent from modern day receivers. Very nostalgic.
