Repro Crown Zippers

Does anyone know of a source for these? Eastman has Crown repros but they won't sell them without a jacket attached.

Yeah, I'd checked MASH as I've purchased Talons from Yoshi. The jacket is a repro anyway. Too bad Eastman is tight with those and the repro Kwiks.

Why do I always seem to need the stuff that isn't around? This is for a repro Bronco. I figured the zipper would be as easy to find as the jacket. Nope.

MASH are probably the only "shop" stocking them, if they still have stock.

Brice's suggestion about getting in touch with JC is excellent. John usually doesn't have a problem selling bits and bobs to enthusiasts like us if he has stock or if it's like something like a label.

Well, hallelujah. I think I can do an end run on all this. Silver Surfer has been filling me in on the use of Talon zips by Bronco. Then, in checking out the 2 Broncos on JC’s site, I see one has a Crown M-41 and sure enough, the other has a Talon M-42. I’ve got an NOS M-42.

For once, I’ve managed to make it back out of the rabbit hole. Life is good.

As a little side note… the WWII Crowns are reliable and not really prone to failure.
The MASH Crowns are not the same as the ones used by ELC….they are also reliable.
Buzz if Made in China if fitted with Crowns ( L-2A and B-15C) are a bit tricky… but easy to repair with a bit of knowledge…. A bit of a slider issue..
ELC Crown’s are … hmm…
