Given there are similar examples out there and even repros of them, there has to be an answer as to what this jacket represented. Any ideas? I’m thinking they could’ve been worn by Airborne soldiers who modified them with pride.

We all talk about how to or how not to store our jackets but that does look like it’s been screwed up in a box by the creases! I’m sure someone here can suggest how to improve/restore it but at some cost I’d guess which might prove prohibitive for the result achieved? Good find (despite the lining!) and good luck if you do attempt to bring some life back into it.
