Hello Guys, I am Roy from Malaysia and I am new to military flight jacket. I need help to identify this old A2 Jacket that i just pulled up recently.

The inner jacket was modified to the duck camo which i suspect it was a true ww2 Parachute Camouflage.

Im not sure if the zipper was changed because i never seen any Aero Zipper on a A2 jacket.

Thousand thanks to someone who could help me on dating this jacket and extra information (such as model and year made of this jacket)

a 1980s goatie? that is showing some hide deteriation. Zipper looks replaced, Knits are in better condition than the hides, so, possibly replaced when the liner was replaced. Btw: the liner replacement was poorly done, or it is showing some edge wear. No idea as to the manufacturer of this one.

Permission to disagree :
Liner is a piece of camo parachute .. see white stiching where the para cords/strings were.
The studs are all brass WWII United Carr in correct WWII caliber and places.
Yes zipper and liner were not replaced very professionally…but still a very good WWII jacket base.

If it’s a wwll based jacket, what contract? I can’t figure it out by way of pockets, collar and collar stand. Maybe I’m missing something. as a side note, those studs (snaps) were available to manufacturers long after wwll, as was camo para silk. In fact, gw uses wwll snaps on the repros that require them.

Thanks for sharing your find. It’s a very interesting jacket, and the commentary you’re eliciting is great education for those if us here still shedding our diapers.
The parachute lining reminds me of Sgt Saunders in the TV show Combat. He repurposed a piece of a German camo parachute as a helmet cover. Any ideas as to the origin of the jacket lining in this example?

IMHO typical Roughwear A-2 27752 features..
Liner is camo para liner surely added later at some point.
Waist knits might also be WW2 original to the jacket… but here unsure..

Thank you guys! Most of you also voting this is a RW brand and i believed so. The contract of the jacket is gone or maybe just covered inside by the camo parachute. I actually found Real McCoy did a similar repro A2 Jacket with Camo Parachute lined too, see attached photos.

It's without a doubt a redyed 18091 Rough Wear with a goofy lining and zipper. I can literally feel the thin goatskin with my eyes! Come on guys!

Gotta say the lining isn’t my thing but that’s one helluva gnarly bit of redyed leather
