Would love to find out more about this label....can anyone help me out? I'm new in the Irvin game and would appreciate some help identifying this jacket label?

The bottom line on the Label reads...."H 174370/40/CID"

Thanks

Hi Charlie, Welcome to VLJ. Your jacket was made by Links. Links' jackets which date from 1940 are usually distingished by a rounded collar, honey-coloured fleece, cast sliders and Dot pulls, reddish zip tapes, medium sized belt loops. The Links H 174370/40/C.I.D contract was issued by the Air Ministry in 1940 and was either the third contract issued to this prolific maker. They had contracts from 1939 through to the end of the war. Perhaps you might like to post some pictures of your jacket for others here to see.
