Yeager wearing first issue L-2b?

Hi all,

Just uploaded this series of Yeager and Jackie Cochran breaking sound barrier in 1953. Yeager looks as if he is wearing one of the first L-2b contracts or maybe a aero medical test jacket, interesting feature is no USAF logo on sleave. The zippers also look a little different but can't be sure.

Could be either one. At first I thought it was an L-2, but the oxygen mask tab looks to be nylon. The Crown main zip appears inconsistent with the single known example of the original 7448 we've seen, but the Aeromedical Test Lab theory could certainly explain this.
