WWII Navy fighter control stick

I just bought this. I have been looking for one for a while but they are pretty hard to find. THis is the standard control stick that was in most single engine Navy planes during the war. All I need now is the rest of the plane.

Marcel, that's an awesome device. Was the NAF 1174-1 also used as a plane control stick. It looks like the bottom could be bored and put on the column. Was this a war use of the camera or a post war use? Also I assume that the cord sticking out out the handle is for power purposes. Do you have any info on the use of those handheld cameras?
