Troubleshooting the wobble pump. Fire extinguisher pal took the photo.
If he is not careful he may damage that jacket.
Twas a cold breeze and I should have flipped the collar but...
I'll second that.
Always flip the collar Dave ...
What sort of engine you running in that Pitts S-17 V6? I can only see 2-3 exhaust headers this side. Oh yeah and is it carb or injected?
Now that's a flight jacket used as intended!
that's the way ... hahaaa ..... i like it
that's the way
Hmmm, I think the missing wings might be more of the issue Dave
Very cool to see another A-2 being worn hard. Which repro are you wearing? Oh yeah, the denim's looking good as well.
Just how a jacket was meant to be used; a nice action photo!
It's my buddy's Pitts S-1T. Fuel injected IO-360. He's been building some Wolf wings for it so it's been down for about 18 months. Tank leak repair, new clunk, new hoses, rebuilt mechanical pump and servo/throttle body. New wobble pump had been replaced first. Wouldn't run for crap. We narrowed it down and think it's a simple $5 elbow not seating a hose flair so it was sucking air. Running good in the pic.
The jacket is the one I made and about ready for retirement. Under 3 yrs old so worn appropriately for about the time of a wartime jacket.
First tie I recon KC was quoted here! Thumbs up.
That is so cool.
Here I am thinking I am cool by taking my jacket to the air museum in Pensacola this spring.
