"Vtg UNISSUED 1940's WWII USAAF B-3 Sheepskin"?

Any idea when this would date from or who made it? It does look fairly old. 1940's, or later? The lambswool does appear in excellent shape. I did notice the label says 46R. Did the USAF issue B3's in anything other than one standard length during WWII (L, R, S)? Does this label indicate a more recent repro?

To the best of my knowledge it's an original un named 1942 contract B-3. They did indeed issue B-3's in S,R and L sizes. Remarkable jacket and in my opinion worth the asking price.

Yes it is an original from the no name 42-21700-p contract. Provided skins are ok it is, as Peter says, a bargain.

The rusty buckles suggest exposure to condensation, also one of the collar snaps has bonded to the adjacent acrylic coating at some point. I wonder how sound the skins are ? They look excellent.
