vintage wool sweater JC AFB

Here is the sweater of my wife. I do not know if AFB stands for Air Force Base.
Does anyone have an idea.

Draw your own conclusions, but I just did a Google search under the query "jc afb" and here's what came up first:

The school colors are right, but Connally HS in Waco only used a "C" in the 60's, and now "CC".

Often, "JC" is for "Junior College". Also, the "B" in AFB might be for Band. I would say this is a pretty good possibility given the lack of emblems indicating a particular sport.

I too did a brief search but for a base high school. I didn't see anything obvious.
